The Kitchen Garden

 

 

With great intentions, MD Sean Murphy decided, a few years

 

ago to create our very own Knife & Fork Food Kitchen

 

Garden at The Old Swan Inn.

 

He and the chefs at The Old Swan worked hard at preparing

 

the site and we were able to start supplying all our kitchens

 

with a, albeit small, selection of produce from the new

 

garden. We even rescued chickens from certain death,

 

and housed them in luxury '5 star' accomodation! 

 

Annie Payne, a Llantwit resident has recently taken over 

responsibility to weed, tend, love, grow and water 

 

the site for us. After a couple of years of neglect due to 

 

the difficulty of finding a committed gardener, we

 

are now thrilled to see its transformation into an allotment,

 

thanks to Annie, that we can be proud of and have great

 

future plans for. The chickens are happy and the possible

 

acquisition of pigs is next on the agenda.
